NAS Player (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is a client for accessing media stored on your own Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices. We designed it to work without collecting your personal data.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect, transmit, or sell personal information.
- No account required. The App does not ask for your name, email, or phone number.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs. The App contains no advertising SDKs and no third-party analytics that profile you.
- No media uploads. Your videos, music, photos and files stay on your NAS and are never sent to us or any third party.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
The following data is stored locally on your device only and is never uploaded to us:
- NAS server addresses, ports and share paths you configure
- Login credentials, stored in the iOS/macOS Keychain when you enable “Remember password”
- Playback progress, favorites, browsing history and app settings
- Cached thumbnails and metadata (removable at any time from Settings)
Deleting the App removes this data from your device. Keychain items can be cleared from the App’s Settings screen.
3. Network Access
The App connects directly from your device to the server address you enter. All traffic goes to your own NAS — we operate no relay or proxy servers.
When you connect over the public internet (e.g. via WebDAV, SFTP, SMB over VPN, or a reverse proxy), the connection is made between your device and your server. We recommend enabling HTTPS/TLS and using a VPN on untrusted networks.
Local network access is used only to discover and connect to NAS devices on your LAN. The App never scans or reports networks you have not configured.
4. Permissions

All permissions are optional; denying them only disables the related feature.
5. Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate third-party advertising, analytics, or crash reporting SDKs.
If you download the App from the App Store, Apple may collect diagnostic and usage data according to Apple’s Privacy Policy. This is controlled by your iOS/macOS settings, not by us.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your Rights
Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on our side. You retain full control of all data on your device and your NAS. For users in the EEA/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA): we do not process or sell personal information as defined by those laws.
8. Data Retention
We retain no data. Local data persists on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, noted in the App’s release notes.

2. 保存在设备本地的数据
以下数据仅保存在你的设备本地，不会上传给我们：
- 你配置的 NAS 地址、端口与共享路径
- 登录凭据（开启”记住密码”时存入 iOS/macOS 钥匙串）
- 播放进度、收藏、浏览记录与应用设置
- 缩略图与元数据缓存（可在设置中随时清除）
删除应用即会清除设备上的这些数据；钥匙串中的条目可在应用设置中清除。
3. 网络访问
应用从你的设备直接连接你填写的服务器地址，所有流量都发往你自己的 NAS，我们不运营任何中继或代理服务器。
当你通过公网访问（如 WebDAV、SFTP、VPN 内的 SMB 或反向代理）时，连接仅 发生在你的设备与你的服务器之间。建议启用 HTTPS/TLS，并在不受信任的网络 上使用 VPN。
局域网权限仅用于发现并连接同一 Wi-Fi 下的 NAS 设备；应用不会扫描或上报 你未配置的网络。

所有权限均为可选，拒绝只会关闭对应功能。
5. 第三方服务
本应用未集成第三方广告、统计或崩溃上报 SDK。
若你从 App Store 下载本应用，Apple 可能依据 Apple 隐私政策 收集诊断与使用数据。 这由你的系统设置控制，与我们无关。
6. 儿童隐私
本应用不面向 13 岁以下儿童，我们不会有意收集儿童的个人信息。
7. 你的权利
由于我们不收集个人数据，因此我们这边没有可导出、更正或删除的内容。你 完全掌控设备与 NAS 上的所有数据。针对 EEA/英国（GDPR）与加州（CCPA/CPRA） 用户：我们不处理、不出售上述法律所定义的个人信息。
8. 数据保留
我们不保留任何数据。本地数据会一直保留在你的设备上，直到你手动删除或 卸载应用。
9. 政策变更
我们可能更新本政策。重大变更会体现在上方的”最后更新”日期中，并在适当 情况下于版本更新说明中标注。
